Terrabianca’s story is intertwined in 2019 with that of the Italian-Swiss Burkard family. It is Adriana and Urs, with the acquisition of the Terrabianca and Il Tesoro estates, who change the destiny of the winery, moved by the desire to give life to a project rooted in Tuscan winemaking history that aims to become a contemporary model of an eco-sustainable reality.
A passion for wine and a spirit of initiative have always been part of the Burkards. For Adriana, the bond with the land and hospitality are rooted in Italy, when as a child she accompanied her maternal grandparents as they carried out their activities in the fields and vineyards, watching them in the cellar while preparing Lambrusco.
It was in those moments that a deep respect for the Earth and the art of cultivating it developed in Adriana. A love that has matured over the years, until it has become a reason for living. And it was also thanks to the experience lived in her paternal family, founder of the brand ‘Zeffirino’, a symbolic brand of Italian catering in the world that Adriana learned the culture of hospitality. Over the years, Adriana’s dynamism and planning and philanthropic vision have been combined with Urs’ strong entrepreneurial skills, giving birth to the project ‘Arillo in Terrabianca’
