On Saturday June 15th at 7.30 pm<\/strong>, in the historic Piazza Ferrucci of Radda in Chianti (Siena)<\/strong>, “La Cena” of the Winegrowers of Radda 2024<\/strong> will take place. The occasion will be the much anticipated presentation of the 2020 vintage of “53017”<\/strong> – the collective wine of Radda winemakers.<\/strong> The dinner will be accompanied by the most prestigious wines of the 25 members.<\/p>\n

Francesco Berardinelli, chef of the ‘Barl\u00e8sh’ restaurant in Montevarchi (Arezzo), <\/strong>will create the menu for this year’s dinner. Barl\u00e8sh does ‘Cucina Improvvisa’, subtle and spontaneous cuisine, far from fashion, with attention to the traditions of the territory and the people who live it every day.<\/p>\n

Francesco Berardinelli does not have a Tuscan accent: his mother is Venetian, his father is Molisano. He was born in Piedmont, on Lake Maggiore and arrived in Tuscany with his parents in the Seventies. After studying hotel management and hospitality in school he left for New York to work at the famed ‘San Domenico’ restaurant. Upon returning to Italy, he opened his first restaurant, ‘L’Osteria di Rendola’ in Montevarchi. As articles were published, journalists noticed him and his work and in 2000 he opened the second restaurant, ‘Beccofino’ in Florence which made the cover of ‘Wine Spectator’. From that moment everything changes: chefs arrive from all over the world to taste and discover what Francesco Berardinelli cooks: Heston Blumenthal from London, Ferran Adri\u00e0 from Spain and Alain Ducasse from Paris. He receives invitations and participates in the most important culinary festivals and he cooks all over the world. \u201cI did everything as a chef, I achieved what I wanted and I am now in the right place, what was already in my head, I returned to Barl\u00e8sh\u201d<\/em> <\/strong>says Berardinelli.<\/p>\n

The collective wine from the winemakers of Radda \u201c53017\u201d<\/strong>
\nOne Territory, 25 winemakers, one soul.
\n25 cellars, 25 lands, 25 shades of Sangiovese from the county of Radda in Chianti have given life to a wine of excellence, equilibrium and representation of the territory.
\nAn iconic bottle, created to express the collaboration between the producers of the Radda Winegrowers Association and at the same time promotes their bond with the territory.
\nTo carry out this special project, each member selected and provided 27 liters of their best Sangiovese, the main grape variety of Chianti Classico, and combined it with that of the other members to produce the “53017”, the Sangiovese of the Winegrowers of Radda. The name of the wine is dedicated to the postal code of Radda in Chianti. A unique project, the blended wine rests in the depths of the cellars of Castello di Albola before seeing the light in the special Magnum bottle format. Each bottle is numbered by hand to enhance its exclusivity and uniqueness.<\/p>\n

THE WINEGROWERS OF RADDA<\/strong>
\nThe “Vignaioli di Radda” association has as its mission to expand the wine culture of Radda in Chianti, developing projects, in-depth meetings and events that support and promote excellent viticulture, with particular attention to organic agriculture and production, biodynamic viticulture and sustainability.
