The dates for this year’s Radda nel Bicchiere<\/strong>, the traditional event organized by the Proloco of Radda in Chianti (Siena), are set for Saturday May 25th and Sunday May 26th<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It will be a weekend full of tastings, seminars, insights and lots of conviviality at Radda nel Bicchiere. Promoting wine culture and celebrating winemaking excellence in the region<\/strong> has always been the priority of the event.<\/p>\n

Viale Giacomo Matteotti<\/strong> will once again transform into a prestigious showcase for Radda wineries and this year’s guest producers from Barbaresco<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

THE PROGRAM<\/strong><\/p>\n

Saturday May 25th<\/strong><\/p>\n

10.30 am Barbaresco seminar in Radda. Common Elegance<\/p>\n

From 1.00pm to 8.00pm tasting stands will be open in Viale Matteotti with the producers of Radda and Barbaresco.<\/p>\n

Sunday May 26th<\/strong><\/p>\n

From 11.00 to 19.00 tasting stands will be open with the producers from Radda and Barbaresco.<\/p>\n

11.30 am – 6.00 pm Radda Vintage<\/p>\n

11.00 am – 4.00 pm 15th annual “blind” tasting of Radda nel Bicchiere.<\/p>\n

6.00 pm Awards ceremony for the “blind” tasting of Radda nel Bicchiere.<\/p>\n

VIGNAIOLI DI RADDA TASTING STAND<\/strong><\/p>\n

This year in Radda nel Bicchiere, the Radda winemakers association will have a stand dedicated to them where you can taste the 2018 and 2019 vintages of the collective wine \u201cVino dei Vignaioli\u201d, 53017.<\/strong><\/p>\n

THE \u201cBARBARESCO A RADDA\u201d SEMINAR: COMMON ELEGANCE<\/p>\n

<\/strong>Saturday May 25th at 10.30 am, in the Sala del Podest\u00e0 in the city hall of Radda in Chianti, Antonio Boco and Paolo De Cristofaro<\/strong>, will be the “conductors” who will guide you through an exploration of the similarities and differences between two extraordinary regions, Radda in Chianti and Barbaresco. The seminar represents a unique opportunity to discover the peculiarities, the elegance and the extraordinary reality of Chianti Classico and Barbaresco in the international wine scene, through the lens of two peculiar areas.<\/p>\n

The wineries of Radda in the tasting: Caparsa, Fattoria Poggerino, Erta di Radda, Podere Terreno<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For this edition of the Radda del Bicchiere, you will find the crossword to fill in \u201cCrossing between rows \u2013 Radda & Barbaresco\u201d, to have fun discovering what these two winegrowing regions have in common countries.<\/p>\n

RADDA VINTAGE<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sunday May 26th from 11.30 to 17.00, in the Sala del Podest\u00e0 in the city hall of Radda in Chianti, expert sommeliers will be pouring 14 wines from Radda in Chianti that have aged for at least 8 years in the producers’ cellars, for an unforgettable experience.<\/p>\n

CHIANTI CLASSICO CENTURY<\/p>\n

<\/strong>To celebrate one hundred years<\/strong> of the Chianti Classico Wine Consortium<\/strong>, there is a special exhibit in the ex-carceri (former prison) below the city hall. Recognized globally thanks to its symbol, the Black Rooster<\/strong>, the Consortium was founded in Radda in Chianti on May 14th 1924 and it is the oldest Italian Consortium created for the protection of the wine and its territory.<\/p>\n

During the days of the event, checkouts will be located at both ends of Viale G. Matteotti to purchase the glass with wine glass holder at the price of \u20ac25.
