CHIANTI CLASSICO COLLECTION 2025

CHIANTI CLASSICO COLLECTION 2025

As per tradition, February is dedicated to wine previews and as always the appointment with the Chianti Classico Collection has arrived.

On Monday the 17th and Tuesday the 18th of February, Stazione Leopolda in Florence will open its doors to let you discover the new vintages of Chianti Classico, Chianti Classico Riserva and Gran Selezione classifications. A new path to further enhance our vineyards, our woodlands and our villages, which give their name to the “UGA” translated to “Additional Geographical Units”, the smaller individual appellations that make up the entire Chianti Classico region and are indicated on the Chianti Classico Gran Selezione label.

A sustainable event
The Chianti Classico Consortium renews its commitment to the environment with the reduction of plastic and paper, installations designed with recycled materials, plants that will continue their life cycle after the event and the Stazione Leopolda is ISO 20121 certified as a sustainable location. An edition increasingly attentive to sustainability, respecting the territory where Chianti Classico exists.
Not just wine… 50 years of Olio DOP Chianti Classico
This year we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Consorzio Olio DOP Chianti Classico, founded in 1975 to protect and enhance one of the symbolic products of the territory. There will be 35 olive oils available for tasting and 6 producers present at the fair to discuss the quality and history of this extraordinary product. In addition, on February 17th at 3:00 pm there will be a free in-depth seminar by Roberto Rappuoli.

The UGA Radda, located within the municipality of Radda in Chianti, can be considered a true watershed within the denomination. Running along the mountain ridge of the Regional Road 429, this geographical area separates two different hydrographic basins: to the north is the Pesa River basin and to the south that of the Arbia River, which in the past were both classified as rivers but are now streams.

In addition to journalists, operators and industry experts, on February 18th, the event opens its doors to the public, offering the opportunity to meet the 218 producers of Chianti Classico. In addition, guided tours of the wineries for all enthusiasts. We look forward to seeing you at Leopolda, don’t miss it!
