With perseverance and determination, another small miracle has happened, the 53017, the “Vino dei Vignaioli” Vintage 2020 has come to light!

This ancient territory in the beating heart of Chianti is where already in the 7th century BC, the Etruscans fermented the fruits of Vitis vinifera. An intact landscape perfectly balanced, that was created and protected by the work and love of generations of winemakers. Wine producers, who with passion and awareness of the precious legacy have adapted to the great changes in the climate.  This unique wine is created by blending the best selections of Sangiovese from all 24 wineries in equal parts.  It is a liquid and tangible expression of a common project and a new vision of our profession, carrying on the legacy for those who will follow, sharing passion, hope and experience.

Notes on the 2020 Harvest

The 2020 vintage can be considered the last of the cool vintages and has given us an elegant, crystalline and very balanced Sangiovese.
In fact, despite a rather rainy spring and early summer, the low temperatures helped to avoid the development of the typical vine diseases.
It was also a windy year so the bunches always remained dry despite the rain. However, the wind can carry fungal spores with it and it was therefore important to protect our vineyards with treatments and continuous manual interventions in the vineyard.
The meticulous work of the winemaker who takes care of their own vineyard on a daily basis was therefore very important.
The long and hot summer led to perfect ripening and a very good harvest in both qualitative and quantitative terms.
